So word on the street is photographer David LaCapelle is suing the starlet for plagiarizing his art. Rihanna’s latest video S&M which has spent its time on the charts and has been banned in certain markets and countries cause of sexual content, has gotten her in some hot fire with the law. yea I said hot fire lol LaChapelle, who has shot celebrities for magazines such as Rolling Stone, GQ and Vanity Fair, said ‘the music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works
According to the Daily Mail, LaChapelle’s suit says that Rihanna’s video copied the “composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting” of his photographs, including key scenes such as her latex outfit, her walking of a security guard (which is nearly identical, he said, to his 2002 photograph for Vogue), and newspaper inspired outfit.
oh poor baby SHUT UP! lol Dang ok now can I keep 100 with ya’ll, I think he’s feeling left out and figured hey let me get in on this. Yea this may be a little bias but reality is, nothing is original any more. I’m willing to bet that Lachapelle wasn’t the first to think of this idea. He maybe one of the few to have his name public. Like I think this whole law suit thing is just to much.
Ok so I mean I can understand that he is a little upset, but if anything LaChapelle should be talking with the production side of the video, there are other folks involved with the creation of a video.
I don’t know all the detail about the law suit, but i guess we’ll see how this’ll play out over the next fews days or months.
Like in real life, I don’t even know what to feel right now. Disgusted isn’t even the word for this. Like where are the parents. These little girls have the wrong role models. And this is sad, these little girls are our future and quite frankly I’m scared. The fact that they are so young,a nd can barely form their sentences properly but they know how to instigate and cuss, that is utterly ridiculous I’m truly at a lost for words people. I can already see the comments from people.
This does not look good for the African American Community. Because, is this what we are teaching our children? When did it become ok to be all in the camera wanting to pick a fight? when did it become ok for girls no older than 10 to be cussin up a storm like they’re grown women? When did it become ok to teach our young girls that your clothes are what make you important? I am by no means perfect, and my mother is not mother Theresa, but when I was their age I was playing with barbie dolls and watching the rugrats on nickelodeon. The sad part is so many young kids are going to bad schools to bad homes and back again, and it is not getting better.
Like seriously I have watched the video a few times, and all of this girls talking about, they can do this and they can do that, they got money, they wear real louis and real gucci. Like come on lil girl go on now and sit your self down. Go read a book or something.
But in all seriousness we need more role models in our African American communities. It is quite obvious that there are not enough after school programs to keep these young people occupied. and the parents obviously are not aware of what their children are doing. We need to be teaching these young girls how to be good citizens or how they have the opportunities to be the next Michelle Obama, or the next Condelezza Rice, or the next Deborah Lee. Not teaching them to talk about or rep things that they can’t or shouldn’t be able to understand.
These young kids are growing up entirely too fast. I mean ya’ll did you see these little girls. Every last one of them, face in the camera, cussin, threatening someone, reppin their myspace pages, callin each other b*tches, actin tough. I am just baffled. I sat with my hand over my mouth, in true amazement thinking to myself that there is now way that these little girls are serious. because I know if my mama caught me using those kinds of words and then recording and posting on the internet for the world to see, she ould beat the hell out of me then call the cops and turn her self in. like man I don’t know I’m #done
But for those who are raising children, teach something positive. Because videos like this is just absolutely unacceptable.
AHHHHH I am on the floor with this post. I had to stop laughing long enough to write this cause this is just to funny. So the buzz around the blog world is this video taken at Usher’s OMG tour when he performed at Madison Square Garden. So like most fine a** r&b singers…he takes the time to have a little intimate moment with a fan while on stage…you know nothing new, but I’mwillin to bet he might be a little picker with the fans. So as he’s singing his hit Trading Places the fan he is singing to is sitting in front of him with her back to him. So she makes the grand attempt to turn around and face him.
However in the process the young lady swings her legs around and while trying to get her leg over his head…what does she do? POW!!!! SHE KICKS IN DEAD SMACK IN THE HEAD lmbo I can tell you I have watched this video over and over again and it is quite hilarious! Im sure she was super embarrassed. I would be to if a tens of thousands of fans just saw me kick usher in the head on stage (on the jumbo screen mind you)…and now it has gone viral. But I gotta give it to him…he played it off very well and I’m sure he didnt have no hard feelings. But in all fairness to the fan, you’re still one lucky girl!

Micheal Jackson and Akon…MJ has joined the ranks of superstars that have passed away but still putting out music. His collabertaion with Akon “Hold My Hand” is a good song and the video for the song has recently be released. but ya’ll i have got to be honest with you this is Ms. Shay’s POV…
I love Micheal, I grew up on his music and my first song was I’ll be there. But this video did not cut it for me. I love the dancers in the video cause it is so fitting for MJ but that whole overly sentimental BS that is in the video…im #done like Micheal wasn’t about sadness and crying a mourning. Like he wanted to celebrate life…he pointed out the harsh realities of life, but always found the silver lining. This video though has its moments of being good, I cant take it. I wish the video took a different approach. there is way to much crying in the video sadness and pain. I personally think that we need to stop mourning his death, and celebrate the life he had!
So I know everyone done heard Lil Kim’s new joint Black Friday. Clearly it’s a come back to Nicki Minaj’s Roman’s Revenge. No the interesting thing here is that there is a lot of back and forth between the two but i feel like they could be much more forceful if the actually did a track together.
Now my opinion on this Lil Kim/Nicki Minaj thing, i can’t say who is better because both women are very much the same but just different time periods. I think Nicki is definitely 10 times more vicious than Kim. You gotta give the girl her props she has a lot of balls. I think this new millennium Lil Kim fell off. I think the 1990′s Lil Kim would’ve taken Nicki and been mopped the floor with her. Nicki in a way is this generation’s lil kim, Back in the day Kim stood her ground among a male dominated industry, I think Lil Kim got comfortable, and now is tryin to fight her way back…idk. Kim’s black friday though she went hard! i mean she laid her ish down…but it was predictable.
